Pain Management Without Intervention

• Birthing Normally - Chapter 6 - Psychophysiological Integration An excerpt from the book Birthing Normally. It is designed more for the reading of a labor support person (doula, etc), but there are some good ideas about reframing the experience of birth.
• Comfort Measures For Labor From the Fensende Midwife archives. Designed more for the reading of midwives, but some really good stuff here.
• Greatly Reducing Child Birth Labor Pain The concept of co-laboring is discussed here - a technique which uses accupressure.
• Pain in Labor Doesn't Have to Be Intolerable A neat little article which looks at just exactly how much time of the average labor is "painful." Helpful in attempting to reframe your experience.
• Pain Relief Without a Needle or a Price Tag A collection of suggestions for managing labor pain.
