See here for State Organizations.
- The American College of Nurse-Midwives A good place
to start if you're thinking about a career. They have a pretty informative set of
brochures they'll send your way. Also, ACNM will refer you to Nurse-Midwives in your area.
They prefer you to call them, however.

site for MANA. Very new, and very much under construction.
- Maryland Friends of Midwives Lots of great
information on this site.

- MIDWIVES ALLIANCE OF NORTH AMERICA
More information on MANA on a midwife's site. Contact info here!
- The Purple Midwifery Page This page has
regional interests (Ohio legislation), but some lots of good resources and information.
(Not technically an organization, but still highly relevant to Ohio.)
- Tennessee Midwives Association
"The Tennessee Midwives' Association (TMA) is an organization of direct-entry
midwives, certified professional midwives, certified nurse midwives, childbirth educators
and aspiring midwives whose purpose is not only didactic, but one of fellowship and
support."

An interesting page.
